Serrano’s Debuts Test Kitchen at Chandler Location

Chef Lorraine Serrano Launches November Specials, Other New Items

Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants recently launched a Test Kitchen at its downtown Chandler location next to Chandler City Hall, 141 S. Arizona Ave. The concept allows Executive Chef Lorraine Serrano and her team to debut and test new cuisine that add a twist to Serrano’s traditional Sonoran Mexican recipes.

Test Kitchen items – which will only be offered at the Chandler restaurant (dine in or takeout) – will be priced as specials and patrons will be asked to provide feedback. If an item is successful, the plan is to roll out that offering at the other four Serrano’s locations.

“Based on our initial trial run of this concept, we believe it will be a big hit with our customers,” said President and CEO Ric Serrano. “It’s a stressful time in the restaurant industry right now, so we wanted to launch something that would bring some levity and excitement to our restaurants. As an example, our Mexican street corn lollipop was a new side item we tested in September that was very well received, so we’ll be adding it as a regular menu item.”

Customers can find Test Kitchen menu items at https://serranosaz.com/test-kitchen-menu-chandler-only/ or by asking a server. The items will be constantly changing.
