“Listen, Learn, Connect!” features familiar music, hands-on instruments, and plenty of audience participation
CHANDLER, Ariz. Children and families can do more than listen when the Central Arizona Flute Ensemble presents “Listen, Learn, Connect!” at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Downtown Chandler Library, 22 S. Delaware St. The interactive concert will be held in the Copper Room South, located on the second floor. The event is free, and no advance tickets are required.

The seven-member flute choir, known as CAFE Flutes, will perform a lively mix of music for all ages. The program will include Disney favorites from The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, music from An American Tail, patriotic selections, and spirited dances.

Audience members will become part of the performance by singing, clapping, snapping, waving flags, and playing small percussion instruments such as maracas and tambourines. CAFE musicians will also introduce the silver flute family, from the tiny piccolo to the ensemble’s remarkable 10-foot contrabass flute.

Children will be invited to hold demonstration flutes and piccolos, learn how the instruments produce sound, and ask questions during a question-and-answer session. The relaxed format gives children a special opportunity to experience live music while participating, exploring, and having fun with their families.

The concert is supported by a grant from the Neely Foundation.
