RAISING AWARENESS TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE
Exchange clubs across the county participate in Child Abuse Reduction Efforts (C.A.R.E.) in order to raise awareness about the terrible, lifelong impact of child abuse and to increase awareness of the resources that are available and the organizations that are working in our community combat child abuse. The Exchange Club of Chandler’s C.A.R.E project is the Field of Hope. The Field of Hope is a memorial to the children that died the previous year in Arizona because of child abuse and neglect. The field is also a call to action for the community because of the child that still need to be rescued from abuse and neglect.
The prevention of child abuse became the Exchange’s National project in 1979. Since then, Exchange has made it our mission to not only increase awareness of the problem of child abuse, but to do all that we can to prevent it.
