Lauren Snow Helps Women Look & Feel Beautiful

Category: Features

"I really love making women feel beautiful,” said Lauren Snow, owner of Lauren Snow Beauty in Downtown Chandler. “It’s a passion that has fueled my career.”

After graduating from Arizona State University, Snow pursued her love for skincare and makeup working for brands such as Bare Essentials, Ulta and Philosophy as a corporate trainer and national sales manager. She also enrolled in cosmetology school with a focus on becoming a licensed esthetician.

Her career launched her into great levels of success and had her traveling around the country visiting her markets. But when she had her first son, she no longer had the desire to maintain such a busy schedule. She made the tough decision to leave her position and, instead, focus on selling beauty products to local salons.

“That’s really how I gained small business expertise. I learned what works, what doesn’t and what they need to be successful,” she said.

After having her second child she longed for more in her career. Instead of working for someone else though, she chose to open her own business. And so, Lauren Snow Beauty was created.

“I was never really scared to take this step because I was used to juggling multiple clients and accounts. I learned early on how to manage my time and sales,” she explained. “Owning a small business is a marathon. The first year was spent learning – I didn’t have an HR team or accounting team. It was just me, so I spent time building a strong foundation.”

Today, Lauren Snow Beauty in Downtown Chandler offers a variety of services, including facials, dermaplaning, masks, microdermabrasionandbridal makeup. Additionally, the salon hosts group classes to demonstrate the latest makeup applications and skincare.

“They are so fun and are one of the things I love the most. Makeup is relatable and it creates an environment that allows women to be vulnerable and ask questions or talk about skin issues,” she said. “I love being able to help and connect with other women.”

Now in her third year of business, Snow has seen first-hand the growth in Downtown Chandler.

“I love the vibe and watching the area grow. It has become a very unique place. It’s also great because there are so many other small business owners who all champion one another.”

As for what the future holds, Snow says she hopes to expand her business and brand-new podcast – Lovely with Lauren.

“I want to help as many women as possible. I bring on different small business owners and we discuss their challenges and share successful ideas,” she said.
